National Youth Music Theatre
In August 2014, I was employed by the National Youth Music Theatre as a technical tutor to work with their young technicians, and train them in various disciplines of backstage theatrecraft, including stage management, props making and maintenance, lighting programming and sound design, one group of which went on to work in supporting roles on the NYMT's production of 'Brass', winner of the 2014 UK Theatre Awards 'Best Musical Production'. (Coincidentally, it was up against Leicester Curve Theatre's 'Chicago', another show that I worked on!)

In 2015, I was once again employed by the NYMT as a technical tutor for young technicians working on productions of 'Prodigy' in the St. James Theatre (London), and 'Sweet Charity' in Leicester's Curve Theatre. I was also asked to stage manage the 2015 revival of Pendragon (Bury St. Edmunds Theatre Royal), and reimage the set based on the original design.
Over the course of 2016, I took on the role of Production & Stage Manager for the NYMT's 'The Piper of Hamelin', which comprised of a cast of 10-14 year olds, a 16 year old sound operator, and a 15 year old video programmer/operator. Alongside a professional DSM, Lighting Designer & other creatives, we toured the show to a number of childrens festivals over various weekends throughout the summer, all the while ensuring our young cast and crew had the best possible experience of professional theatre. Alongside this role, I also assumed my role of technical tutor on all NYMT summer courses, working across a number of shows, and culminating in a restaging of 'Brass' in the Hackney Empire.
